This as that
Steel, Plaster, Paint, Cement, Pigment, 2016
An exposition in two parts. In the exhibition room there is a sculptural installation. The whole installation is illuminated by thee steel framed with lights attached to it, and a plaster sculpture taking position as lamp. In the entry hall of De Ateliers stands an architectural structure made of plaster. A part of the plaster ‘wall’ is so thin that a projected video is visible through it. The video shows a singer who is warming up her voice while walking around in my studio. The abstract sounds of her voice resonate through the hall.
